the core
a small place to paint, move, and watch color develop.
The Core is the site’s original pigment instrument. Pick a color on its ring, paint into the field, and let the pigments move. The larger experiment at /core/ retains its placement controls.
In the larger experiment it can settle into four positions: center, left, right, and low. The chooser offers a direct way to move it; holding the outer edge opens the more physical version. While held, the image recedes into the paper, then develops back as it settles. The navigation version stays fixed.
This entry records the brackish zone. The lumenlab browser experiment at /lumen-lab/ carries the same pigment-dropping gesture into a vessel with patterns and optional local audio or MIDI input. Lumen Lab desktop remains a separate project. There is no saved scene or gallery here; a visit can stay a visit.
